Description: Simply yummy. This deep purple wine smells fresh and fruity with black currants and a kaleidoscope of tropical fruit. Full bodied this wine tastes of jam, black cherries, orange peel, and currants. Rich and complex, the subtle oak finish challenges you to keep sampling to discover other layers of complexity.
Critical Acclaim: "Solidly varietal flavors of strawberry and Bing cherry fruit anchor this well-made, 100% Barbera. The wine has both depth and polish, with some varietal tartness running through a medium length finish. It makes a good case for Barbera?s potential in Washington state." - Wine Enthusiast Magazine
"There?s no shortage of delicious acidity in this bottling. The nose brings some fascination, as behind the fruitiness of plum, blueberry and cordial cherry are notes of toffee, grains of sand and barbecue chip seasoning. The drink is smooth and tasty." - 2008 Barbera - Excellent - Wine Press Northwest Ratings & Article on Stottle - August 22, 2011
